Gashadokuro
Acrylic on canvas - 116.7 × 91.0 cm - 2025
Born from the bones of those abandoned by war and famine, the Gashadokuro is a colossal spirit, invisible at night, creaking with rage and loneliness.
In this geometric, icy interpretation, its bones become cylinders and pipes, its eye sockets silent locks. Emptiness takes shape. In the lower-right corner, a black fire seems to burst from nothingness—a flame that consumes in silence. Everything is structure, everything is hollow.
The monster needs no flesh to exist; a single absence, a memory, or a stifled cry in the dark is enough.
