Dodomeki

Acrylic on canvas, 60 cm x 73 cm, 2025

This work depicts a woman whose long arms are studded with eyes, punishment for repeated theft.

Each eye is a stigma, a living memory of past misdeeds.

Circular perforations pierce the surface like a choir of silent gazes. Yet the silhouette stands tall, almost proud, transforming shame into a strange form of power.

Once terrifying, the creature appears serene here—even unexpectedly beautiful.
